Fibreglassing the Inside of the Kayak Hull & Deck

By now the fibreglassing process is ‘old hat’ and has probably moved from the list of really scary things you weren’t sure you could do right to the list of somewhat tedious but pretty straightforward steps in building a kayak. The one new thing you will be dealing with now is applying the fibreglass to the inside of the curve. Basically you are trying to wallpaper the inside of a long narrow bowl. The good news is that as you wet out the fibreglass it really does adhere to the wood pretty well, but it will want to slip. You will note the clothes pins used to hold the fibreglass cloth in place at the start of the process.
